This has been a week of extreme weather. We have had hot weather with high humidity, and lots of rain. Also lots of thunder and lightening.
We took a trip out to King Lake to view the floods. They say it is the worst in 80 years. I took lots of pictures. We passed a car that went off the road. Don't know why he thought he was on the road, but he is lucky someone saw him. On the news, they said his body temperature was 86. The crops are under water, and a man was killed when the bridge he was on collapsed.
Then on Friday, we were out wa
tering at the temple, when a storm blew in really fast. We heard a loud crack, and decided we better get inside some place. The whole top of a tree at President Oaks fell, and when we drove around later we saw lots of trees down. The power went out at the Trail Center and the Temple. A Sister was stuck on the elevator, and the fire department came to rescue her. We spent the day cleaning up limbs and trees. We went to Lincoln yesterday and toured the capitol building. It is absolutely beautiful. It was built for 9 million over a 10 year period (pay as you go). Now it is estimated a a half billion dollars. They
have a non-partison legislature. It is against the law for them to go into debt. Interesting tour. This is our last week in our ward. Next week Sister Baker and I are playing the Battle Hymn in 2 wards. I will miss the people in our ward. We have met some great people out here. We also will miss the missionaries and the Temple. We are excited to go home. It will be nice to see everyone, and be in our home again. I think we will sleep for a
few weeks.

It's crazy how quickly a bit of bad weather can do a whole lot of damage! Those are some great pictures of all the craziness.
We're excited to have you home, but I would be willing to bet a few bucks that you won't be sleeping a few weeks like you claim you'd like to! :)
