I Love To See The Temple

Yesterday when we got up, we had about 6 inches of snow. That first storm is always such a surprise, and seems so cold. The roads were slippery, and it is so hilly here, you are always either going uphill or downhill.
But we got there safe and sound. It is always so peaceful there. It was a little slower, but at the end of my shift, I did initiatory. A sister came in and did her mother-in-law. It was a great experience. It doesn't happen very often, but I knew she was there. I was crying, and the sister was also crying. When she went into the next booth, the Sister there, also started crying. It makes any effort you have put forth, so worth it. What a wonderful thing the Temple is.
Last week we had to flag sprinkers again. It was rainy, windy, and cold. As you can see in the picture, I looked like Rebeccas yellow rubber ducky. Hopefully we are about done with that. Running through the sprinklers in October is not high on my list of fun things to do.
We had Stake Conference with Quenton Cook ( Lamar Brett informed me is his middle name) attending. He is a really good speaker. He told us that they do not have assigned topics for
General Conference. They know which session they will speak, and who is before and after them.
I had always wondered that, because so many speak on the same thing. At Stake Conference he says he wings it. Amazing. I read my talks word for word and still get half of it wrong.
Bruce is still having a lot of pain with his shingles. He has a patch and Loratab, but is still having pain. I feel so bad for him. He does best if he is working hard. The pain comes when he sits. So our driving to places 60 miles away doesn't work. We need to stop every 1/2 hour to let him walk around.
We got people in our basement now. They are the Bakers from Orem. They have 10 children, and are working with 2 wards in Council Bluffs. They were going to find a place over there, but they run 600 to 700 dollars, plus utilities. Our place is 300 with no utilities. I don't blame them for staying, but we have been spoiled with having the place to our self. They are very quiet, but I hope we can be quiet too. Gus can tell you we are often noisy. Especially me when I drop things in the mornings.
I hope everyone gets there pictures ok. There are some different ones in different envelopes, so you might want to compare.
I love you all. Come over any time you want to. We are home sometimes.
Love Sister Palmer

I guess if you're too loud the downstairs neighbors might just be glad to pay the big bucks to move out, eh? ;)

Hope you don't get too cold. I'm not looking forward to a cold winter, but at least I'm not running through sprinklers!

Eyes red and overflowing with tears,
I used to hold you and you’d rid my fears.
All those times I’ll always remember,
why did you leave me on that morning in September?
I carry you in my heart, my memories, and my spirit,
I’ll never forget your purrs, how I loved to hear it.
Every day I’d return home from a dreadful day,
but when I looked into your eyes my problems fade away.
Can you rewind the days Ol’ father time?
Such a wonderful pet to have as mine.
I miss petting your soft brown fur,
And in return you’d let out deep long purrs.
I will always love, remember, and miss you Momo,
such a tragedy to let you go.
You’ll always be in my heart,
never to be apart.

I didn't know you had a blog. I've had so much fun reading through the months. I've learned so much. You guys are amazing. We keep praying for Bruce (mean ol' shingles. That's a dirty trick to play on such a nice man). We love you and miss you and I will happily keep reading. Thanks for taking the time to post this.
