A Great Week

What can I say. This has been the best week I have had on my mission. Thank you Gus.
I'm sure you have all heard the story. But here goes.
Bruce was at scouts Wednesday evening, and I was giving the Relief Society President a piano lesson.
Dustin called and said he wanted us to go home. He had something exciting to show me. I told him we would be home in a hour. Apparently that was not good enough. So I went to get Bruce. Dustin called again, and I said we were just leaving.
We called and had problems with the sound, I( I had the mute on). We got it going and he and Rob brought a girl in the room. Rob moved, and she sat down next to Gus and he introduced us to his fiance.
We were blown away. We didn't even know he was dating anyone. We have been fasting and praying for this for a long time. Everyone says your family is blessed when you are on a mission. I know this is true. Even when our kids were on missions, we were blessed. This is the ultimate blessing.
Dustin is such a great son. He has always been so helpful to us. We will miss having him in the house when we get home. The grandkids will all miss him to play with. (Cris wanted to know if he will be leaving his games), but it will be great for him.
We want to welcome Heidi to our family. We can't wait to meet you. We love you already. Thanks for making our son so very happy. If he doesn't treat you right, you let us know.
Other than that we have had a fairly mild week. We are waiting to see if our mission president has gotten permission for us to go home. I are hoping so. We decided if we can't, we will go do sealings at the same time as the wedding. Of course we will probably cry thru the whole thing.
We are in charge of the Senior Dinner tomorrow evening. Bruce has been trying to round up dutch ovens to cook cobbler in. He found some finally, but not what he wants. I told him he is a dutch oven snob. He agreed.
I added pictures of me waxing the statue in the cemetary, and at the confluence of the Missouri, and Platte Rivers. Love Sylvia

A VERY good week indeed!!! Heidi is wonderful and we're so happy over here, too.

Everyone loved watching the video of your reactions to the news. It seems you're trying to decide if it's a joke or not.

Sure hope you can make it, but if not we'll get cardboard cut-outs of you to stand in the line. ;) Love you!

HA. I got it right.

We had a big rainstorm here today in the afternoon. It felt good because it was in the high 80s.

Hope that the mission is moving along smoothly. We did not get to talk with you last week.
