It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

This week the Trail Center had a delivery. We uncrated a Temple issue Nativity. It was in 3 crates. It was a total of 1200 pounds. We later found out the actual statues were only around 400 pounds. The crates were most of the weight.

This week starts the gingerbread displays at the trail center and in Kanesville. It is a big thing here. They started it at the Trail Center, and it got so big they decided to have one at Kanesville also. People go all out for this. We have a very small one we did at the Relief Society activity, but its nothing compared to some of them. There is one that is a display of the North Pole. One is a treasure chest filled with candy. Maybe next year we will try something larger. If I can get some grandkids, and great grandkids to help.

We are still doing leaves. We also planted the last 500 bulbs. We had to buy more because we did'nt have enough to finish at the Temple. We also started inventory, which is measuring the paint, sheet rock, moldings and carpet in each building. It is a lot of math so we are going to keep Rebecca when she comes out. If that doesn't work we will ship Savannah out.

Last Sunday was our Temple fireside with Elder Oaks. It went well, and I didn't mess up too bad either. He told us how he has never been a Bishop, Stake President or Mission President. He was Gospel Doctrine teacher when he was called to be a Apostle. He said he felt very inadequate.
He was telling Elder Packer how he felt, and Elder Packer said "Well, I guess it's alright to feel that way, but in time you will get on with the Lords work and quit feeling sorry for yourself." He said he took that advise and got on with it. I loved that. What good advise for everyone.

It was a very goodl fireside, and was packed. Bruce and I were supposed to open the doors at 5:30. We got there about 5:05, and the doors were opened, and it was 1/3 full.So much for running through the songs.

We are sure praying for good weather so our guests came arrive safely. The forecast looks good. I hope everyone has a great holiday. We love everyone and are grateful for such a wonderful family. Love Bruce and Sylvia

I think that's awesome for the temples to have nativities! I can't believe you're still planting bulbs. How do you dig the frozen ground? :)

We hope you have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving with your company. Love you!
