Seeing Family Again

After five months, I got to see some of my family again. How great it was to see Rob and Rebecca, and Dustin and to finally meet Heidi for the first time.

Everyone told us we would love Heidi, and they were right. Of course we already loved her because Dustin loves her. We had a great time showing them all the great historic sites of Winter Quarters. I hope we didn't bore them to death. We did initiatory at the temple, and played games. We saw the gingerbread displays at the Tabernacle and Trail Center. They are amazing. I can't believe what they can do with gingerbread. Bruce and I did one. It looked pretty good when they had it with the primary kids.

We had the missionaries for Thanksgiving, and had tons of food. Friday morning, Rob and Rebecca were off to shop Black Friday sales. Everyone else was lazy and slept a bit longer. They found some good deals. Bruce and I went later and found 7 dollar jackets and coats at Wal-Mart. We felt good about that. We were hurting for jackets and work coats. Everything we wear gets worn out real quick.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and I hope to see everyone in a few weeks.

Ha! We went out VERY early to ShopKo, and they had the pharmacy open! I think mostly for another register, but the pharmacist had to be there since it was open. I figured Becky was glad to be home sleeping. How wrong I was ... :)

Glad you had a great Thanksgiving. Can't wait for you to see more family next month!
