Lots of Snow

Hello Everyone:

Well, Christmas is over. It really didn't ever seem like Christmas because we weren't around family.

It started snowing on Tuesday evening, and is still snowing a little. We have cleaned every single day since. Christmas we had to clear the Trail Center, because there was a brunch for missionaries there. Saturday, the Temple closed, but they had a couple getting married, so they asked us if we would make a path from the road to the front doors. The bad thing is the wind blew for 2 days so there are high drifts everywhere.

We had to clean out driveways of 3 homes, walks at the homes, plus the Trail Center, our shop, and make them accessable.

The problem is it is cold out so you dress warm, but with the humidity, you sweat. When you take your coat off, you are soaking wet. But my feet are warm in my pink wool socks, and my hands are warm with my hand warmers( Thanks Rebecca.) I come home and put on my Eeyore pajama bottoms (thanks to Denise). I will soon have my scarf (thanks to Sunny). It is in my suitcase which is in route here (Thanks to Mark). The McLanes went to Manhatten Kansas to visit their daughter. Her husband is in Iraq. He is a pediatrician and in the Army, so he got deployed. President Kunz told them to go whenever they needed to. They covered for us last week.

We had the missionaries over for Christmas dinner. They called their families from here. It worked out well. We had the Bakers from downstairs for dinner also. At least we had company.

We hope everyone had a great day. We love everyone and were so glad to see you. Hope Gus and Heidi are enjoying the sunshine. We hope to see the sun someday soon.

I want you to see how freezing rain looks in trees. So I am posting a picture for you. Also a snow picture. Enjoy-Love you all

The pic of the ice tree would be really cool if you didn't have to be outside with it! :) You make me cold just thinking about it there. Get some thermoses and keep hot chocolate nearby! Love you!

I can't believe that picture of the ice on the tree--very pretty, but it sends a chill right through me! Hope you're keeping warm through all this crazy weather.
