I do believe winter is here. We had snow flurries for 2 days that melted as soon as it hit the ground, but it was windy and cold.
It is supposed to snow sometime this week. I am not excited at all. I will climatize though, because I have to. I do have a great coat, boots, and snow pants.
Yesterday we were helping the missionaries with a baptism. A 9 year old named Nymal was getting baptized. We went to pick her up, and she said she had changed her mind. She is quite mature for her age. She said it was all going too fast. We talked to her for quite a while. She said she believed everything, did not have any questions, but just needed more time. We asked her to pray, and we would also pray. The poor thing has no support at home. Her mother wasn't even home. Her sister is a member, but not active.
We called the missionaries who were filling the font, and they talked to her for quite a while. We finally just told her no one would ever force her to get baptized. So we will pick her up for church today, and see what happens. We told her the missionaries weren't forcing her just because they wanted her baptized, but because they knew how happy it would make her. We will see what happens.
We did inventory this week on our 2nd building. What a pain. We were out in the wind measuring the outside of the building, the parking lot, the sidewalks, flower beds, and also all the inside walls, wood, etc. It is so much fun I invite everyone to come join the fun.
We are going to a military band concert this week with President & Sister Oaks. They have a extra ticket. I am really excitied. I love bands. Monday is our Senior dinner. Sister Slater and I are doing a duet of Sleigh Ride. We will see how it goes. My fingers do not work as well as they did when I was young.
Well I will see everyone in a little over a week. Love you all
Sister Sylvia

Man, it sounds cold there! It's sure gotten cold here, and I'm not for it at all. I'd be fine with it if I could sit home in my nice, heated house all day, but that doesn't happen.
Can't wait to see you NEXT WEEK!!!
I feel for you whenever I have to go out in the cold, even for a few minutes--and you have to be out there a lot!
It sounds like you did a good job with Nymal. If she believes everything, she will be baptized . . . eventually.
Inventory sounds boring, but at least you get to be inside for part of it, right?
