get some exercise. I managed to buy a Red Neck calender for half price. I have to have this every year. That evening, we had the single senior sisters over with C.J. who we visit teach and home teach. We really enjoy this. We eat and play a few games. They all seem to have fun.
Last Friday we had our interview with President Kunz. We asked him what his expectations were for us. The other senior missionaries have been put in districts. I am not sure he knows really what we do. But he said all he wants is for us to feel good about what we have done. I think we are keeping busy. We rarely have an evening we don't have something going on. This week we have 2 evenings we are substituting in the temple. Plus our Saturday shift. We have our scout and piano lesson night. We have the missionaries over one night. I hope we are doing our job.
This week we spent one day at the Trail Center cleaning. It was only a good start. It is fun to clean things connected w
ith the history of Winter Quarters. I hope we get back soon. I want to clean the Star and Bright (the oxen). We did inventory at 2 more chapels. I sure will be glad when this is done, if it ever is. We can't do outside now with so much snow on the ground. But we hopefully will get the inside done. We have been trying to do the wood cleaning and repair while we are there.
We are so grateful to be able to serve a mission. It has been a great experience. We are so grateful to be in an area with the heritage Winter Quarters has. What a sacrifice the pioneers made so we can worship freely. When I am outside complaining I'm cold, I think of how lucky I am to have nice boots, and a warm coat with gloves on my hands. How spoiled I am when they were lucky to have shoes.
Thanks again to your love and support.

You need to stop worrying about whether you're doing enough, because I don't think it's physically possible for you to do more! You're a different kind of missionary, and you were called there with a special calling to do what you're doing. So, even if you're not in districts or feel like people know what you do, the Lord knows -- and that's all that really matters. Keep up the good work! You are blessed to be in a place to remind you of our rich LDS heritage.
Here, here; I agree with Denise! I totally understand, though. It was strange to sit in an empty visitors' center waiting for people to come and wondering what on earth I was doing and whether I was making a difference! The main thing is that you're willing to do whatever you are asked to do, even if it sometimes feels like you could do more. You're being obedient and the Lord is blessing you for your willing heart.
