I had a lesson from our Bishop to commit to pray for missionary opportunities. This sounds weird because I am on a mission, but I don't always get these moments. But I will pray to have the opportunity to share the gospel. The Bishop works for Facilities Management, and some days he never even sees anyone to say hi to. So he has prayed for the chance to do some missionary work. So he was in our chapel the other day, and didn't lock the door. Someone came in and asked him a question, and he answered it, and the guy left. After he left, he heard a voice in his mind say "You blew it".
I know that has happened to all of us. There is a couple in our ward that has been members for about 4 years. They met a couple on their honeymoon that introduced them to the gospel. They are best of friends now. They live in different states, but are so grateful they shared the gospel with them.
We had another great week of inventory. Monday we worked in the Trail Center, which is fun. We still have another few days to be done. Then we did a couple more inventory in a couple more chapels. Four more and we are done. At least the inside is.
We went to a model train show in Council Bluffs on Saturday afternoon. It was a lot of fun. We kept calling Paul to tell him about different displays. They had a lot in the size train he collects. Wish he could have been there. One of them even had cars at a o
utdoor movie, with a John Wayne movie playing. They had the snack bar and everything. It was cool.It is supposed to snow this week again. Yuck. I am ready for Spring. It will end soon though. I think the worst is over. Knock on wood.
I am very happy about the Payson Temple. How cool will that be to be within 15 minutes of 2 Temples. Spoiled huh. I can't wait to see how soon it will be done, and what size it will be. It probably will be in between the Provo and Winter Quarters in size.
We went to Atlantic Iowa one day. They had a ice
storm the day before that had closed the freeway. We passed about 40 wrecked semis and trucks and cars. They were jack-knifed, on their tops, or down ravines. It was sad because you knew people were hurt. I had never seen anything like it. Everyone travel safely this week. Love Sister Sylvia

Sometimes a mission does feel like the movie Groundhog Day! :) Glad you guys have been safe with all the bad weather. The Lord loves and protects His missionaries!
Glad you're getting a little break here and there on the weekends. We also pray for you to have spiritual experiences. It's actually a little "warm" here ... I guess we'll see if that lasts.
