Nothing New

We have decided we are bad luck with baptisms. We were supposed to go to one yesterday for an 8 year old girl who is the niece of a sister we home/visit teach. She backed out at the last minute.

We had subs for the temple, and the shift had been going for a couple hours, so we couldn't plug in to that.

Bruce had a service project at the cemetary in the afternoon, so he relaxed the rest of the morning. I had time to actually clean house which was nice.

We need the snow to melt quickly. We only have a couple more chapels to clean then we are done. They are usually doing spring cleanup by now, but there is lots of snow on the ground. This week was above freezing most days, so that was good. Things look so drab and ugly. It rained a bit yesterday, so hopefully that has cleaned things up some.

I called Kylan to talk to him and he just pushed the phone away. I guess he isn't a phone talker yet. I can't believe that he is almost walking. He is way too young. He will have some younger cousins to pick on pretty soon.

I am posting a picture of a cardinal. Unfortunately, I do not have a good zoom on my camera. This bird is bright red. It has a really neat chirp. But that does mean spring is here. The geese are back, plus we have seen some robins. So that is exciting.

We saw a flock of birds on the way to church today, so I told Tyler he can finally do his scout requirement where he watches for birds for a week. We'll see if he sees any more.

Our rain this morning took care of the snow we had gotten Thursday/Friday. Maybe it can help eliminate yours, too ...

Of course Kylen isn't a phone talker--he's a boy! And he'd better not pick on his younger cousins; I've got a feeling this baby of mine is going to be a feisty little fireball!

I loved seeing cardinals in Nauvoo. I think I only saw two or three my whole time there. Their color is just unbelievable!
