So this week we had a Mission Conference on Monday. We had Elder Perry come. He was great. He talked about dispensations and how Christ organized His church. He talked about how Joseph Smith needed to be unschooled so people would realize how he could not have written the Book of Mormon.
Now the thing is, Brett wanted to conference call with him. I pretty much figured I could not do that. So I told him I would get his signature. They had everyone file through quickly to shake his hand. They did this in the chapel, and I couldn't stop the line and get his signature then. Also Brett had drawn a picture of him for me to give him. It is a great picture (see picture). So then I worried the whole meeting that he would leave before I could give him the picture.
After the meeting, he left first. As soon as possible I ran out to find him. Fortunately, he stayed for lunch, and I found him. I gave him the picture, and he loved it. He thought it was a very good likeness. Plus he very willingly signed the card I brought. Why not after the great picture he got for free.
On Saturday we once again went to pick up Nyamal to be baptized. We had stopped by on our way home from the temple. She was excited and in a dress. Well her mother said she wouldn't go because she wasn't feeling well. Nyamal was upset with her and really wanted her to go. Bruce told her we would pick them up. When we went back, the mother was gone, and Nyamal had invited a friend over and wouldn't come. Elder Ozman was going to baptize her, and is now about 70 miles away. We couldn't get her to come. I felt so bad for her, Elder Ozman, the missionaries here who put everything together, and the Bishop.
We went to the Stake Center to see if the Bishop and primary president were there. We didn't have their numbers to call them. Elder Ozman had just pulled up to the Mission office. What do you do now is the question. You can't really say 3 strikes your out. I thought maybe I would send her a card and tell her to call if she wants us to pick her up for church. She is very knowledgable about the gospel.
Well we went from there to a ward party. A pinewood derby for everyone with no rules. Bruce had a great car. He put w
eights in the front and back. It kind of wobb
led going down the track. After everyone had run, he tried it with all the weights in the front and creamed everyone. They gave him the award for the most unsportsmen like car. It was really fun.It is finally getting close to 40 degrees here. It feels like summer I love it. Now if we can get the snow to melt, we can start working outside. Yeah.
Have a great week everyone. Love you

We have pinewood derby coming up soon, and Tyler is giddy! But we have something like 25 pages of rules ...
You're going to melt in the summer heat when you get home after the cold you've been feeling!
Happy March. :)
