It is just after 6:00 p.m. here, and in 20 minutes my 2nd granddaughter is getting married. I am really missing not being there. I am so happy for her. She is marrying a really nice guy.
Alyssa has always been a real sweetheart. She is a lot of fun to be around. Her Mom and Dad have been great parents, and always spend time with their children. I know she has had a good example.
This last week we went to the State Fair in Lincoln. We went to a demolition derby which was great fun. It wasn't as good as the one in Spanish Fork at the County Fair, but still fun.
Sister McLane and I went on a camel ride for $5. They are a very wide animal, and we were both sore when we got off, but fun for 1 time.
The temple is closed for the next 2 weeks, so today I went to a Visiting Teaching meeting, and Bruce helped a scout with his Eagle Project (surprise). The boy got a lot of people there to help him. Bruce has been repairing the joints in the stone walkways in the cemetary. So this boy did a big section.
Bruce told everyone that if visitors came to be real quite because it might be the only time they will be here to visit. Some people came in and he said the scouts mother and another lady started singing "Come,Come Ye Saints". He said it was very spiritual, and there was a very peaceful feeling among everyone. This cemetary is a very sacred spot. It is next to the temple, and this temple is the only one that was being built on ground that was already sacred. They actually found 3 graves when they were excavating, and moved them over to the cemetary.
We work in the temple with a couple who stay at the Mormon Trail Motel when they come to work. They work Friday nights and Saturday morning. They live 2 or 3 hrs away. Anyway, they asked the owner if they could put Book of Mormons in they rooms and he agreed. Also, the lady that cleans the rooms wants to tour the Trail Center. So we stopped by with a box of books that we got at the Mission Office. Michelle wasn't there, but we talked with the owner for a while .We left our number, and will stop back by.
We are still working hard, and trying to not get into too much trouble. Love everyone

Sounds like you guys are having great experiences! I had no idea camels were so wide, but I guess that makes sense. Hopefully Dad got a picture.
You missed some good raspberry lemonade at the wedding, but you'll get pictures to cover everything else. :)
Love you!!!
Some of the people in your picture seem to be standing dangerously close to the demolition derby rink!
We missed you a lot at Alyssa's wedding, but we all know you are where you should be right now. Thanks for your great example and for all you do for each of us.
Yeah, the wedding went quite well. Mark and I almost crushed Nicky's foot since we were trying to move a giant chair rack and we didn't notice him "helping" in front. It was moving well and then it got stuck and we heard Nicky scream. He ended up being okay.
