Random Thoughts

Guess what? It is snowing, and has been for 2 days. I love new snow. It is so white and really pretty in the trees. Unfortunately it turns ugly in a few days.

The Omaha drivers are nuts. A lot of them drive big 2 wheel drive trucks, and drive like they are invincible. At stop lights they think green means stop, yellow means go fast, and red means go really fast. No one moves on a red light because up to 3 cars are going through. Now in Iowa, it is another story. They have photo cop at intersections. They will mail you a ticket which starts at $108 . After that they go up. Our neighbor has 2 tickets with probably another on the way for going through a yellow light. McLanes warned us about these.

We had the missionaries over Thursday evening (as usual). Elder Hoyt told us someone from his family works at the MTC. They are having a lot of problems with the missionaries attention span, communication skill, and with social skills. He said they attribute it to texting.

Gail is working on a album that puts together our tour of the historic sites. I am so excited about it. She has taken a combination of her pictures and a few of mine. Then she has found information online, plus what we have written. This is for Serenas birthday gift, plus she is making one for me. I have helped pay for it, plus written the title page. I also bought her a album cover. It will be great to have this as a keepsake.

I talked to Brett last week. He went in the bedroom to have a private conversation with me. He wants to conference call with Elder Perry when he comes. I am going to try to get his signature for him. What a boy.

I understand we have problems in the St George Palmer house. Ellie is taking toilet training to the next level. She wants to go standing up like dad. Katie is trying to grasp which word are good and which are bad. Karens letter made our week. We have laughed everytime we think of it.
This is cleaning the oxens nose.

I better go get ready for church. Love to everyone. Sister Sylvia

If Ellie figures out how to go standing up maybe she can teach Zachary ... :)

The book sounds really cool. I can't wait to see it, but I guess I'll have to.

We have no snow here. I keep hoping for one more snow to go sledding, but the warmer weather is nice, too ...
